Sweet Pickle Pictures » Providing family, child, newborn, maternity and studio photography for Manhattan, Kansas and the surrounding areas.

Do you know what I love about my job? The fact that I get such a sweet opportunity to watch my clients grow! The first time Mr. Graeme graced my lens, he was still in his Momma’s belly! A couple months later we were hanging out together at his newborn session and now he’s well on his way to being one year old! Crazy!  Here are some of my favorite photos from his 6 month/family session. It was quite overcast and threatening rain the whole time, but we made the best of a our time together! I can’t wait to see what this cutie will do to a cake in a few months 😉

The theme at I Heart Faces this week is “enjoying life” and while I have many photos that represent that theme, I had to go with a VERY recent favorite. Here is my son enjoying his first sparkler this 4th of July. The amazement on his face is priceless, and it was a lucky capture since he was spinning around in circles as I snapped it. He will be 3 years old in just a few weeks, and this was the first Independence Day that he thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish!

Check out IHF for more entries to the challenge this week!

A few weeks ago I passed a small patch of yellow flowers and I just KNEW I had to photograph someone there. The field turned out to be a canola field (who knew?) and I was lucky enough to talk my nieces into humoring me for few minutes as the sun was setting one evening to take advantage of all the Spring color! We had a lot of fun and got a lot of great shots, many of which were just downright silly. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Couldn’t leave without getting a few fun shots with Dad!

Another great mini session to post! Like my last post, this was the third time photographing these three lovely ladies. I was really excited when Mom contacted me to take advantage of one of my mother’s day mini sessions. I set out to capture some sweet moments between mother and daughters, and I’m pretty excited with the photos we got. What a group of pretty ladies! Thanks for allowing me to capture these moments for you!

I got the distinct honor of photographing the lovely M. family back in May during my mini sessions (yes, I’m just now blogging them!) I first met them last year during my very first round of minis and was honored when they chose me to also photograph their youngest as a newborn a few months later. This time around I got to see ALL their smiling faces, and while fitting a family session into 30 minutes is always challenging, they are a wonderful family and I’m glad we were able to catch some very real family moments! Looking forward to working with you all again in the future!
